what tip do you use for your flowers? I really like the way they look on all your cakes

Hi Kris,
Thanks – I don’t use tips at all – just disposable paper bags with the end snipped off!

This is such an awesome Spiderman cake – I wish your bakery was in my city! What did you use to make the Spiderman so shiney?

Thanks! The spiderman is royal icing so I guess that is what makes it shiny – and a bit of glitter always helps!

the spider man icing looks ‘poured on’…is it? I would love to know how to get that smooth icing look for the spiderman cake that I will be making this weekend for my nephew.
Also, does Wilton make the shiny glitter to put over the whole cake?
Love love love your work! Thanks, carmen

Hi Carmen,
I’m not too sure about Wilton products. The texture of the royal icing gives the smooth look – make it runny with lemon juice to fill the outline, not too runny – not too thick! Good luck with your cake!
